Landscape intervention

Barcelona, 2019-2020

Landscape intervention, after winning a competition for Barcelona's City Hall. The project is in Gracia neighbourhood, in Dones del 36 square (Women of 1936, ending of Spanish Civil War). The square is a tribute to the women who fought in war. Our proposal is a vertical garden, assembled by 243 "cages" that contains over 15 different species. On the top of the intervention, we placed 28 solar panels. This solar station provides power to the lighting system of the square. Finally, and to give a tribute to the women of 36, we created an artistic mural, with the iconic face of a famous fighter, Marina Ginestà.
